Hi Gents,
Here is my last restoration , completed last week . NOS case and dial bought from Peter Wyss in Grenchen 5 years ago,.
Completing a full new AR1146 caliber took me 5 years .
I was lucky to buy a batch of partial AR1145 + AR1146 and 1126 mainplates from a Enicar subcontractor in the french Jura , but It was long and difficult to source the specific GMT parts and the red numbers datedisk .
Discovering this forum, I got the checkered GMT hand here from JimJupiter.
I found the hour and GMt wheels in Italy, the double minute wheel in Netherland, and .... impossible to find the 2.40 mm heigth cannon pinion . I used a AR1147 cannon pinion and modified it on the lathe .
Long term project, and a new Enicar to accompain my Garnix .

From the watchmaker point of view, a Sherpa Jet is not exceptional, Cal . AR1146 has no complexity , the only difficult point is to source the 4 GMT special parts.
My next project will be to rebuild a Valjoux 72 / Enicar version bought in parts to complete my 2nd Garnix. I received the V72 last week and most of the parts are mint. I have replaced pallet fork + regulator + incablocs .
Waiting some lacking parts that I don' t have in my spares ( a ratchet wheel + some screws + hour wheel ) .
I shall post on this subject later
